Does Google AdSense mix with affiliate marketing?
You have a website with great content and you are entirely dependent on the site for your income. But your website isn’t generating, enough cash for you to keep it running. Ok, have you tried affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing, could get a lot of cash pouring, into your bank account easily. Since you have great content, on your site, why not try Google Adsense. That could add a lot to your bottom line.
Why affiliate marketing?
It simply is one of the easiest and the best way, to earn profits online, unless and until you develop, your own products and hawk it online. But affiliate marketing, is a win-win situation, as it works for both merchants as well as affiliates.
Affiliate marketing, is a very simplistic arrangement, where in Affiliate, lets the Merchant, advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. For this the Merchant, would pay a certain amount, to the affiliate based, on sales the affiliate generates. This would mean income, for the affiliate based, on the sales he generates. This would also mean a greater reach, for the Merchant as he gets a much wider market reach, than he would have got with traditional advertising.
However, there are various ways of compensating the affiliate, which would mean an easy way to earn cash. Commonly used compensation packages, are pay per click, pay per lead, pay per sale. However, most affiliates would prefer the pay per click as it would generate revenue, for them if the visitor, just visits the advertiser’s site. Of course the other 2 methods are preferred by the merchants, as that would mean paying a commission only after the visitor registers himself or a purchase is made.
If your website attracts more traffic, then there is a greater chance, of you generating profits. So higher the traffic more, is the chance of you generating sales. That means your revenue is dependent, on the traffic, you are able to generate and not on the compensation methods of the Merchant.
What about Google Adsense?
Google Adsense, is a pay per click affiliate program, where Google is the intermediary between the merchant and the affiliate. The Merchant, signs up with Google and in turn Google gives a code, to the affiliate i.e. to the webmaster, who then places it, on the site. The ads that are delivered, matches the content, of the website. This means that the ads, are in tune with the content and the visitors to the site, would find the ads relevant to them.
Actually Adsense program is something similar, to an affiliate marketing program. The Merchant signs up with Google and provides them with their text ads, about their products. These ads link back to the advertiser’s site, and these ads appear on the sites, whose webmasters, have signed up for the Adsense program.
Everytime someone clicks on the ad, advertisers pay a certain amount, to Google. Google, in turn pays the webmaster or the affiliate after taking its share of the cut. Checks are dispatched every month. Google even provides webmasters, with a tracking tool that allows you, to monitor the earnings, you get from a certain advertisement.
So what does all this mean to us?
That would mean more and more profits. Adsense and Affiliate marketing programs complement each other perfectly. Either way you are a winner, a merchant or an affiliate. The Merchant saves a lot of money and gets a good ROI , while the affiliate webmaster gets his profits, for doing what exactly he is supposed to do, creating websites.
